DESCRIPTION:Please join us for this very special class.  Chris Braley\, LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) with Dementia Friendly St. Albans will be discussing the 10 warning signs of dementia\, resources that are available in our community for those with dementia and their caregivers\, and what a dementia friendly community means. \nUnderstanding what Dementia is and how it effects an individual can help you to be more patient and compassionate.  Recent studies have shown that approximately 40% of people will struggle with memory lapses as they age.  This can start as early as the mid-40’s.  Learn the signs to spot someone who is suffering and confused.  Get tips to help you help them without frightening them or making them angry.    Learn who to contact to get help. \nMany of us have had to sit by while a parent or friend has gone through the stages of this debilitating disease.   But we don’t have to sit by in ignorance anymore.  Choose to get educated for your own piece of mind and theirs. \nWe invite you to join us.  We hope to see you there.
